I took these photos in 1983, during a research trip about a WHO-project to fight "River Blindness" (Onchocercosis), a widely spread parasitic disease in the tropical belt of West Africa.The HQ of the "ONCHO PROJECT" and the flight base were located in the former colonial capital of French "Haute Volta": Bobo-Dioulasso
