Übersee-Zentrum Hamburg

The "Übersee-Zentrum" (Overseas Center) on the Kleine Grasbrook at the banks of the river Elbe in Hamburg had been opened 1967. It handled imported goods from incoming ships for the transfer to trains and trucks. Closed for good in 2016, the giant halls and warehouse will be demolished, soon.

I had the opportunity to visit the site in Aug. 2020 with the kind permission of the owner, the HafenCity Hamburg GmbH. Apparently, especially the office building in the middle of the large halls is a very attractive spot for graffiti spraying, rave parties and urbex activities - all illegal, of course.
